Entering the mature period, the loquats from Liuchang town in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, will be marketed in large quantities in the next 10 days.

Benefiting from the town's unique geographical, climatic and ecological advantages, the loquats here benefit from early marketing and are known for their sweet flavor, high sugar content, and high quality, making them widely loved by consumers.

In recent years, led by the local government and large-scale loquat growers, the town's loquat industry has experienced healthy growth.

The town's total growing area is about 1,700 mu (113.33 hectares), 900 mu of which is estimated to produce 500 metric tons of commercial fruit this year.

The growers mainly use online platforms including Douyin and WeChat to sell their loquats. In addition, the local government has set up stands on Songjiang Street to facilitate growers selling the fruit to passers-by.

Moving forward, Liuchang town will focus on building high-quality orchards and family farms to boost the development of its fruit industry and help growers increase their income.
