Xiuwen county holds traditional sports competition

The 2025 Ethnic Minority Traditional Sports Competition in Dashi Bouyei town, Xiuwen county kicked off on June 29 as a key part of the "Liuyueliu" series of activities.

In the gyro competition, players pull ropes and the gyro spins rapidly, leaving the audience in awe. The tug of war competition is even more intense. The team members encouraged each other and worked together to fight for victory. In the shooting competition, players carefully checked their crossbows, adjusted their sights, and aimed for the target.

"We hope to pass on the spirit of our ethnic minority sports. In the future, we will continue to hold such activities and hope that everyone can participate," said Chen Xiang, president of the Xiuwen County Ethnic Minority Traditional Sports Association.
