Xiuwen County No 1 Middle School strengthens football development

The Ministry of Education recently announced its list of national youth campus football characteristic schools, with 225 primary and secondary schools selected. Xiuwen County No 1 Middle School in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, made the list due to its outstanding practice in campus football, marking a new stage in the school's development.

In recent years, the school has established a comprehensive football education system comprising "teaching + training + competition". The school strictly implements the national physical education curriculum standards, ensuring that at least one football class per week is integrated into breaks and extracurricular activities.

Through innovative methods such as gamified teaching and tactical simulation, students not only master football skills but also cultivate teamwork, discipline, and resilience. In addition, the school continually optimizes its curriculum design, strengthens teacher training, and enhances venue facilities.

The school's football team has achieved excellent results in all competitions. In 2022, they won the championship of the junior high school group and third prize in the senior high school group of Xiuwen County Campus Football Weekend League. This year, the school's teams finished as runner-ups in the junior and senior high school groups of the "Shanhua Cup" Campus Football Weekend Super League (Xiuwen sector) in Guiyang.

The development of campus football has become an important method for the school to practice the concept of "conscience education". Mo Xueli, a school representative, said that football is not only a competitive sport, but also a class that shapes personality and tempers willpower. Through football, the school guides students to establish the values of self-discipline and self-improvement.
