Drones have entered rural areas to transport fruit, creating new scenarios for the modernization of Xiuwen mountain agriculture, facilitating the Xiangyang Agricultural Professional Cooperative with modern agricultural technology, and reflecting the vitality of the low-altitude economy in agricultural scenarios.

"This 'air transportation' model has saved us labor costs and improved harvesting efficiency, with 6,000 kilograms of yellow peaches transferred two hours in advance," said a Pingshan village representative.

Xiuwen county features a fruit planting area of 270,000 mu, including 167,000 mu of kiwifruits that cover 108 administrative villages, ranking third in the country and first in Guizhou province. In 2024, kiwifruit output exceeded 100,000 metric tons.

To improve harvesting efficiency, Xiuwen county has explored a "low-altitude economy + agriculture" model and organized agricultural activities such as crop pest control, crop fertilization, and transportation of agricultural materials and products.

In the first half of this year, drones carried out pest control for over 30,000 mu of rapeseed, rice, and fruit trees, showing the benefits of "low altitude economy + agriculture".
