"In mid-August, we began monitoring harvesting indicators for kiwifruit in Xiuwen county. A total of 10 monitoring points were selected throughout the county based on different altitude conditions and management levels. As the core area of Xiuwen kiwifruit production, Pingtan village's kiwifruit demonstration base is among the monitored sites," said Wu Sufang, a burau representative. Wu said that the third batch of sampling will be sent to Guiyang University for professional testing.
"The maturity of Xiuwen kiwifruit is generally judged by two indicators: soluble solids and dry matter. Based on the data we've collected in recent years and previous experience, Xiuwen kiwifruit is expected to mature in 10 days, and its harvesting period will continue until early November," said Professor Ji Ning from the School of Food Science and Engineering at Guiyang University.

This year, thanks to favorable climate conditions and technological empowerment, Xiuwen kiwifruit will experience a bountiful harvest, with an estimated output of 200 million kilograms.
