Inside the orange planting base in Taoyuan village, the heavy fruits bend the branches. Feng Zhijian, a village representative, said, "Our orange planting area has reached 4,000 mu (266.67 hectares), with an annual output value exceeding 5 million kilograms."
To meet the diverse needs of the market, the village has also introduced the popular citrus variety Aiyuan 28 (commonly known as "Jelly Orange"), which features delicate, residue-free flesh and can be directly sucked with a straw. The 600-mu new variety experimental field has entered the peak production period.
Relying on its unique natural conditions, Taoyuan village has formed an "agriculture + tourism" development model, creating a rural complex that integrates fruit picking and rural leisure. This small mountain village is forging a "sweet" path toward rural vitalization through the thorough integration of characteristic industries and rural tourism.
