Xiuwen promotes winter hot spring tourism

The hot spring industry is warming up Xiuwen county's winter tourism, with the city utilizing its unique hot spring resources to enhance its offerings.

Taoyuan River Amazing Orchid Pavilion Hot Spring integrates natural sightseeing, catering, business exhibitions, spas, leisure and entertainment, and scientific and educational activities, with more than 30 hot spring pools featuring diverse characteristics and high privacy. The hot spring water is sourced from depths of more than 1,000 meters and is rich in minerals and trace elements, including strontium, radon, and sulfur.

"We received more than 2,000 tourists in November," said Huang Kejia, deputy general manager of Taoyuan River Scenic Area. Taoyuan River has expanded its offerings this year, launching citrus-picking experiences in Taoyuan village and adding special catering options that are popular with tourists.

"My wife and I have been enjoying the hot springs here for more than five years. The environment is elegant, and the service is also great. I feel very comfortable," said Xu Minggao, a tourist from Guiyang.

Xiuwen has also planned 16 activities during the 2025 hot spring season, including special drinks and a New Year's Eve fireworks show, to enhance the tourist experience.
