Wind power project sees progress in Xiuwen

The first batch of eight wind turbines from Guiyang Mineral Energy Investment Group Co's Xiuwen Gaocang wind power project was connected to the grid on April 30, with a total capacity of 50 megawatts, ushering in a new phase of green power operation.

Located in the Longchang and Yangmingdong sub-districts of Xiuwen county, the project has an approved capacity of 87.5 MW. The project will install fourteen high-power wind turbines of 6.25 MW each, along with a new 110 kV step-up station.

The project's total investment is 547 million yuan ($81.55 million) and, upon completion, it will achieve an average annual power generation of 177 million kWh, contribute about 11 million yuan in annual tax revenue, save 53,100 metric tons of standard coal per year, and cut emissions of various pollutants by 140,300 tons.

A representative of Guiyang Mineral Energy said the company will stay focused on the goal of full-capacity grid connection, speed up the installation and commissioning of the remaining six wind turbines, and ensure all units operate at full capacity.

The company will uphold its green development philosophy with higher standards and more concrete measures, contributing to the optimization and upgrading of Guiyang's energy structure and high-quality economic development.
