Diverse tourism formats thrive in Xiuwen during May Day holiday

Xiuwen county's tourism delivered an impressive performance during the May Day holiday from May 1 to 5.

Guizhou Wildlife Park emerged as a major crowd magnet. According to Wang Shulin, a park representative, it received more than 8,000 visitors on the first day of the vacation. The total visitor volume for the entire holiday exceeded 50,000, hitting a new high.

Taoyuan River Scenic Area and Xiu Coffee launched a promotional event, blending natural landscapes with coffee culture, attracting tourists with differentiated experiences and injecting fresh vitality into the traditional scenic spot.

A Chinese chess and Go competition was held in Xiuwen on May 4, attracting more than 30 amateur chess enthusiasts. The event helped breathe new life into traditional cultural and sports activities, and integrated Yangming culture into daily life.

New forms of integrated agriculture, culture, and tourism emerged as fresh highlights. At the Shanxun camping base in Shuangbao village, all five cabins, eleven tents, and more than 20 self-camping zones were reserved. According to Tang Hui, the base's manager, the venue has received over 8,000 visitors so far this year, and more than 1,000 guests turned up on May 1 alone.

Xiuwen advanced the upgrading of scenic spots and the in-depth integration of agriculture, culture during the holiday, demonstrating the vitality of tourism development.
