Renowned as the "Top Rafting Destination in Central Guizhou", Taoyuan River is a comprehensive canyon resort that combines rafting, sightseeing, water recreation, forest wellness retreats, accommodation, dining, business events, and outdoor education.

The scenic area brings together lakes, mountains, rivers, caves, springs, waterfalls, canyons, and even fossil landscapes, while the winding river, lush mountains, and crystal-clear water create a picture-perfect natural setting. Its signature attraction is a thrilling 10-kilometer rafting course with a total drop of more than 200 meters. Along the route, visitors will encounter rapids, sharp bends, and exciting sections such as cave rafting, wave rafting and high-speed rafting, offering an exhilarating experience surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

• Location: Taoyuan village, Liutun town, Xiuwen county, Guiyang

• Transportation: Take a coach from Jinyang Bus Station to Zhazuo, then transfer to a local bus bound for Damu or Taoyuan, which passes Taoyuan River Scenic Area

• Opening hours:

May 18–June 21: 12:30 pm–3:30 pm (last admission at 3:30 pm)

June 22–Oct 7: 10 am–4:30 pm (last admission at 4:30 pm)

Full-course rafting:

Weekdays: 188 yuan (adult)

Weekends: 220 yuan (adult)

Students: 160 yuan ($23.62)

Half-course rafting:

Single ticket: 69.9 yuan

Children (under 12): 80 yuan
