Yanyingshan village of Xiuwen county has capitalized on its favorable natural environment to develop summer tourism in recent years, attracting growing numbers of visitors seeking relief from the heat.
Home to several ethnic minority communities, Yanyingshan village boasts rich natural resources, including the Yanying Lake National Wetland Park. By developing sightseeing agriculture and cultural tourism, the village has pursued a path of "green vitalization". It has earned honors such as being named one of "Guizhou's Top 10 Most Beautiful Villages" and a "Chinese Characteristic Ethnic‑Minority Village".
Yanyingshan village has 23 homestays with more than 530 beds. Since June, it has received more than 1,000 guests from Chongqing, Hubei, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Hunan, and other regions.
"We will work to improve quality based on the village's geographical and environmental advantages," said Tang Kun, a village representative. "We will build new infrastructure around Yanying Lake to offer tourists a cozier environment."
