Xiuwen holds chess exchange event

The 2026 Xiuwen chess exchange event was held in Xiuwen's Damu village on Aug 28, attracting more than 30 Chinese‑chess and Go enthusiasts.

The competition was divided into three groups: adult Chinese‑chess, adult Go, and junior Go. Award‑winning contestants received certificates and special Xiuwen-themed tourist souvenirs.

The competition was held in strict accordance with the latest Go competition rules approved by the General Administration of Sport of China. The contestants showcased superb competitive prowess as well as the sportsmanship of civility and friendship.

The event has created a strong platform for chess enthusiasts across the county to showcase their talents, and enriched people's cultural lives, boosting the popularity of traditional Chinese‑chess and Go in Xiuwen.
